2013

The first Anthropozänta took place in Helmbrechts, Oberfranken, Germany in autumn 2013. It was initiated by Sophie Innmann and Michael Sell of Sell GmbH and organized and curated within the former team of the Kunstverein Letschebach consisting of Benno Blome, Benjamin Breitkopf, Sascha Brosamer, Thomas Dawidowski, Melanie Dorfer, Sophie Innmann, OVA, Sviatoslav Palamartschuk and Lisa Schlenker. Thomas Blab offered the residency stay in an old and empty hotel which took place during six weeks before the exhibition opened its doors between October 12 and 26, 2013. Starting with 1 exhibition space in the former store of Sell GmbH, we ended up with many different locations and even a cinema, which were offered to us by locals during the residency process.
